Managed to get some stitching time in yesterday and got some work done on my current start. I don't really feel guilty about yet another start, as I have finished quite a few UFOs and WIPs this year, however, I really do need to finish what's in my bins. I will probably go back to stitching the stuff I've already started after I finish this one.
At any rate, here is my progress so far. I have three days off from work, so I suspect I will have quite a bit more finished before I return to work on Thursday.
Design: A Quaker Alphabet Sampler
Designer: Carriage House Samplings
Fabric: 28 count Monaco fabric in Majesty by Fleur de Luce Hand Dyeds
Floss: Threadworx 1082 Cabbage

Well, I best be off. I have some chores to do before I can get to the fun parts of life, like always! :)

Finally decided late last night what floss I was going to use for Quaker Alphabet. I chose the Threadworx 1082 Cabbage floss and DMC 3866 for the big motif at the bottom. I may change the DMC at a later date, however, that is what I have pulled for the big motif at the bottom. I am liking how it's turning out so far. This is a really quick and easy stitch, and I can see doing this again, but changing the floss and fabric to fit the seasons. I have no idea why I chose this pattern, as I am not really a fan of Quakers and samplers in general, however, for whatever reason, this one spoke to me, so here I am. Go figure, eh? :)
At any rate, here are the stitchy notes and picture! :)

Managed to dye up some new fabric last night. I love the way it turned out. I have a project in mind for it, however, I am torn between two colorways. Please visit my newest blog, Fleur de Luce Hand Dyeds , to check it out and please leave comments as to which colorway I should use!
TFL! :)

Here is my latest finish. It was a three day start and finish. I was feeling strung out from working so much over the weekend and I wanted something soothing and nothing overly complicated. I wanted to just zone out and enjoy the process of stitching and this fit the bill. In keeping with my edicts for using what is on hand, I re-used the chart that I had printed out before and used what fabric, floss and accouterments I had on hand. It was a fun, fast finish and I am even writing down the versions I am stitching on the back of the chart. :)
As always, stitchy notes first!
Design: Now I Know My ABC's
Designer: Blackbird Designs
Fabric: 28 count natural raw linen from Zweigart
Floss: Access Commodities Soie d'Alger #17 cream
Accouterments: cream button and angel charm from personal stash

Well, I must be off. Today is the start of my work week and I need to go do some chores before I go into work tonight. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! :)

Finally managed to get the materials needed to finish off my SMO Four Seasons Fatties workbox. I love the way it turned out. I will be storing my flosses and things for my SanMan Sundays SAL's in this box.
Here's a pic:

I will eventually add a small needlecase and a scissor keep to the inside as well, but for right now, I'm calling this one done! :)
Here is a pic of my latest WIP. I've stitched this one before, and just wanted to stitch something simple and uncomplicated, so I got this one out again. It stitches up really quick and the color combinations are endless. As always, stitchy notes first! :)

Well, I best be off. DH and I need to find lunch and then I need to go off to Wal-Mart to get some fabric. Hope everyone is having a good day! :)

Here's a quick finish for me. It's my own design. It is part of a sampler I have designed. I will be starting the sampler soon, but I wanted to stitch part of it right away. I am really pleased at how it turned out. This is probably going to be part of a Queen's workbox. As always stitchy notes first! :)

Fibers: Crescent Colours Grannie Annie and Snips and Snails

Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend! :)

Got a really fast finish last night. It's a CCN Design from the "Sweet Treats" collection. All I had was the chart that was borrowed from a friend, so I did not get to stitch it in it's original colors, but I like how mine came out anyway. :)
Stitchy notes:
Design: Cupcake from the Sweet Treats Collection
Designer: Nikki Lehman of Country Cottage Needleworks
Fabric: 28 count raw natural linen
Fibers: Crescent Colours in Antique Lace, Frozen Margarita, Pink Champagne, Spinach, and Spun Sugar; Weeks Dye Works in Hazelnut.
Errata: Buttons are needed to finish off this design. I am thinking of using cherries, however, I will have to see what I can find.

I haven't gotten a chance to stitch a whole lot since I started working, but that is to be expected. I picked up a long time UFO to stitch on and I am hoping that it will be finished soon. It's a Cross Eyed Cricket and I am really enjoying stitching it.
Well, I best be off for now. Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! :)
