A small finish and another WIP
I have my last finish for May. I probably won't finish the piece I am working on in time, however, it will be the first finish of June, and that's ok. :)
This one was a really quick piece. I'm not real happy with the outcome, as I wanted the border done in Crescent Colours Grannie Annie, however, I am almost out and did not have enough to stitch the border. I'm on stash lockdown for the moment, which sucks, but if there's no money, there's no money, yea? More's the pity, n'est pas?
Here's a pic of the completed stitching. It worked up in an afternoon, which is cool. I'll get around to working it up again eventually. :)
Design: Bee Happy
Designer: Be Courdant
Fabric: 28 count natural Pearl linen
Fibers: DMC 310 and Crescent Colours Sunshine Girl and Bandana
Here is the WIP I currently have in the eight inch Q-Snaps. I am enjoying stitching on it, I am just disappointed in the fabric. I took the fabric out of another kit (Little Witch by Shepherd's Bush, to be exact) and I know this piece of fabric on its own had to cost 15 bucks or more. Which is fine, I don't have an issue with that, however, the mottling is only on *one* side. Now, don't get me wrong, I know I can only stitch one side at a time, and it's not like the back could be seen *anyway*, but it just seems wrong to me, that it's only the one side that is pretty and not both. Is that so wrong of me? Well, it's not like Zweigart asked me for my input, yea? ;) Anyhoo, on with the show! :D
Designer: Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks
Design: Red House In Winter (All Dolled Up series, ornament #6)
Fabric: 28 French Country Mocha linen
Fibers: DMC 433, 712, 3031, 3362 (subbed for 3051) and 3828. Crescent Colours Bing Cherry.
I need to bolt for now. Got some more stuff to do, and I think DH is gonna get to come home for lunch today. YAY!!!
