Post #275 and another fast finish

Can't believe this is my 275th post. Where did all the time go? At some point in time, I will have to figure out how many projects I have begun and how many I have finished since I started this blog. I think I should have a contest for my 300th post, but I'll see what I can do for that later on :).

Here is my latest finish. It was a really quick stitch (2 days!) and I really love the way it turned out. I need to get some fabric to finish it. It's a speldenkussen, or pin cushion in the Dutch language. I don't have a sewing machine, so it's going to be interesting how I'm going to get this finished off into some resemblance of a pin cushion, LOL!

At any rate, here's my completed stitching:

Design: Speldenkussen #3

Designer: Ria Lanser for Stofnest

Fabric: DMC 14 count rose stripe aida #DC27R-Rose

Fiber: DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss (Article 117) in DMC 310 (Solid Black)

I'm happy to see Ria designing cross stitch again. I LOVE her work and I really want to stitch more of her designs. Her Paris Sampler was my first finish of hers, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I may kit up another one of hers after I've finished a few more WIPs and start another one of hers. Something to think about at any rate! :)

Well, I best be off. It's late here and I should probably be in bed. But I might just be naughty and stay up and stitch some more! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Respectfully submitted,

C.

Congrats! Very nice finish. Good luck on the final finish. That is the part that scares me the most, probably because I have ruined projects. After all that hard work stitching, the finishing goes wrong.
