Finished For Now

I took my time with this one as I did not know how I wanted it to look once I had finished stitching it. I had contemplated stitching it as is, however, I wasn't too keen on the row of numbers at the top. I decided to stitch the year instead. While I am fond the 'off centeredness' of the piece, it seems to irritate my husband's sense of order :).

Well, at any rate, here's the finished product as it stands now:

Design: Gentle Stitches

Designer: Theresa Venette of Shakespeare's Peddler

Fabric36 count Edinburgh linen in Antique White

Fibers: Crescent Colours  cotton floss in Clay Pot, Hazelnut, Stepping Stones, Timber, and Weeping Willow.

Bling Used: Mill Hill beads #62012 Frosted Royal Plum.

Stitcher's Notes: Substituted 36 count Edinburgh linen in Antique White for the called for 32 count Porcelain linen by Lakeside Linens as I did not have this fabric within my stash. Stitched one floss fiber over two linen threads. Will substitute real buttons for the stitched ones at a later date.

Finished Saturday, April 25, 2015:

Well, I best be off. Time for cleanup and to get another project out. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Respectfully submitted,

C.
