Gentle Stitches

When I was cleaning up my craft room/office after I had finished up Bluebird, I decided to paw through my stash. One of the downsides to having so much stash is that one tends to forget what one has. Even with using programs such as Excel require the user to input the data. As I am lazy as all get out, this is not a solution that appeals to me. However, it does give me an excuse to paw through about 20 years worth of accumulated charts and kits!

I cam across this latest WIP that I have purchased back in 2012. This was a Nashville 2012 market exclusive IIRC. It came as a duo of charts, one by Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks and the other by Theresa Venette of Shakespeare's Peddler. It came fully loaded with Crescent Colours  cotton flosses. I did not have the called for fabric, however, I found a substitute and I am quite pleased with the way it is looking, at the moment.

Well, at any rate, here's my progress since yesterday:

Designer: Theresa Venette of Shakespeare's Peddler

Fabric36 count Edinburgh linen in Antique White

Fibers: Crescent Colours  cotton floss in Clay Pot, Hazelnut, Stepping Stones, Timber, and Weeping Willow.

Stitcher's Notes: Substituted 36 count Edinburgh linen in Antique White for the called for 32 count Porcelain linen by Lakeside Linens as I did not have this fabric within my stash. Stitched one floss fiber over two linen threads.

As of Monday, April 20, 2015:

Well, I had best be off. Have some household chores that need my attention. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Respectfully submitted,

Well isn't that a treasure to discover in your stash! Good start and it looks like a really fun stitch.
