WIP Wednesday Post For August 5, 2015

Another one from the Bin O'Shame. This is another almost 10 year project. It's a nice easy stitch, so I am not sure why I lollygagged on this one. I think it may have been the fact that the directions actually call for 3 strands of floss, making it a bit uncomfortable and quite frankly, bulky in the stitching. I only realized this when I was stitching on this yesterday and discovered that I had been stitching the border with 2 strands. As my friend Barb says, 'Whoopsies!'. As the stitches already look crushed, I suppose at this point it no longer matters. It *is* supposed to be a bookmark after all. I think perhaps I will stitch this again, only stitching it 2 over 2. Or, better, yet, once over two on 36 count smokey white Edinburgh linen by Zweigart. Oooooooooo! Heck yea!

It seems I am getting ahead of myself. I need to finish this one up first, lol! Here is my progress so far:

Design: Mackintosh Rose bookmark (kit)

Designer: Textile Heritage

Fabric: 14 count cream aida banding of unknown manufacturer

Floss: unknown as provided in the kit
