WIP Update For Friday, November 13, 2015

Really slow progress to report on the latest piece. I've been fighting off some low grade sickness for the last month and it's catching up to me a bit. I am not sure if I will even feel up to stitching any this weekend. Although, if I do, I may get Maleficent ( QS Evil Queen) back out. There is a LOT DMC Embroidery Floss Art. 117 in 310 Black that could be stitched, certainly 400 stitches worth, and I don't have to worry about confetti or anything.

Well, at any rate, here is the first Maiden stitched:

Design: Moon Phases

Designer: Laura Rimola of The Little Stitcher

Fibers Used:  DMC Embroidery Floss Art. 117 in 640, 3021, 3774, 3865.  Kreinik metallic thread blending filament #1 HL Silver.

Accouterments: Mill Hill petite beads in #42010 Ice and #42014 Petite Black seed beads.

Stitcher's Notes: Began Saturday, November 7, 2015. Stitching both the New Moon and Full Moon charts together. Original wording to be removed and replaced with something different.

As Of Friday, November 13, 2015:

I had best be off. I need to get something for this nausea. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

In Fading Light

I wanted to make sure that I got this post in before daylight left entirely. I am one of those people who love this time of year, as I do better in cooler weather. This is a bit of a disadvantage for when it becomes picture time, as one has to time these things before Mr. Sun nopes right on out the door. :)

I have gotten a bit further than I thought I have on this piece, so that is good. I am taking my time stitching it and just enjoying the process. I don't really care if it gets finished by the end of November. I've more than made my yearly goals this year, so it's all good.

Here is what I have so far:

Moon Phases

I found my latest start when it was a Mystery SAL on Facebook. I waited until the last section was revealed, as most of the time I am not a huge fan of Mystery SALs. I purchased the .pdf chart knowing that I would want to stitch on it soon. It is a lovely piece and I am happy that I am finally stitching on it. I think between this piece and Maleficent, these will be my focus pieces until the day after Thanksgiving. Then the Christmas stitching will commence. DH has already picked out this year's Christmas focus piece. I need to get it kitted up to begin as soon as the turkey has been digested.

On with the show! :)

I had best be off. I'm going to go kit up my Christmas focus piece and put the kettle on for Sunday dinner. Roast pork and veg. Yum!

Happy Sunday, everyone! :)
