Valentines' Card Finish

My latest finish was almost late in the making. Every year, I stitch something special to commemorate our wedding anniversary. This year, I did not find an appropriate design until the day before. Nothing like an immediate deadline in order to get things moving, yea? I managed to finish this in the nick of time and I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I love Margaret Sherry's designs, however, the backstitching drives me crazy! I generally substitute the called for aida for either evenweave or linen. There is no way I could remain sane stitching these on aida. :P

I am happy that this time around, there are Anchor/DMC numbers for the chart, so I can restitch these cuties. I may even get some stamps and really nice watercolor pencils and make more of these cards. An idea for later! :)

WIP Wednesday On Thursday

I really should not feel guilty about my lack of progress, but I do. It's been eight days since my last post, and honestly, I should have had this finished by now. Still in all, some progress is better than no progress. And I am actually a bit further along than what I had initially thought. I am not sure if it's a time, inclination or I am just flat out not into this one, but here it is and here I am. :)

WIP Wednesday Report For January 20, 2016

Looking at the pictures, I am a bit farther along on my latest WIP than I gave myself credit. I am not as far along as I would like, but then again, not everything is a one day start and finish, yea? Work has been super busy and I have been trying to get back on the FitBit dime, so there is that. Still in all, some progress is better than no progress.

The Return Of The Oriental Beauty

I decided to pick this project back up, which has languished for quite some time. It was culled from the Bin O'Shame projects. This is another long term project that has been left to sit. Although this one is not as old as my last project, nine years is old enough, methinks. I am quite happy to continue this trend of stitching from my Bin O'Shame stash. It makes me feel quite accomplished and industrious.

Another Bin O'Shame Finish

Ever have projects that you have had set aside for so long, you can't remember why you set them aside? And when you fish them out of your bins, and pick it back up, only to remember why you set it aside? This was the case for this latest Bin O'Shame finish. I decided to plow through anyway and get it done. I knuckled down the past 2 days and finished it up moments ago. While, it's very cute, I am not sure if I would stitch it ever again. The backstitching on it drove me plumb crazy!

UK Cross Stitcher Love and Devotion finish

Chugga-chugga- choo-chooooooooo! All aboard the UFO Finish Express! Managed to wrap up another one horribly late in the night last night. But she's finally finished and she's too cute, IMO. She was a free kit from (a now old issue) of  UK Cross Stitcher. It was a nice zone out project for when The Hubmeister took over the tv for Halo 4. :)
