NJ Devils Playoffs Finish
Hooray! My beloved my beloved New Jersey Devils have made the playoffs again this year. Since the division's creation in 1993, the Devils have won the Atlantic Division season title nine times, most recently in the 2009–10 season. The first game of the playoffs is this Friday against the Florida Panthers. I'm wishing and praying for another Stanley Cup . If the Devils win the Stanley Cup this year, that will make the fourth time in the club's history, and the fourth Cup for Martin Brodeur , the best goaltender in the history of the game. Let's go Devils , let's go! :D
To celebrate the Devils getting into the playoffs, I stitched up this little wee cutie from Nomis. It was completed in about 4 days and DH has already requested one for his Toronto Maple Leafs who unfortunately didn't make it into the playoffs this year :(.
At any rate, here's my finish:
Design: NJ Devils logo
Designer: Nomis for the NHL (an OOP book)
Fabric: 28 count white Monaco
Fibers: DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss (Article 117) in B5200, 310 and 321.
The great big honking pink bunny Peep you see in the background is actually a treat that the Easter Bunny left me for Easter. It's a coin bank. I am a Peep fanatic and I just adore it. I's love to have one in the chick form in yellow. Maybe next year! :)
Well, I'm off like a dirty shirt. Got tons to do before tomorrow. Hope everyone's having a great week! :)

C'est magnifique!
Congrats to my all time favorite hockey player, Martin Brodeur, for the Devils winning 3-1 last night over the Habs, in Montreal. The win gave him 551 career wins, making him the second goalie to do so. (Patrick Roy being the first.).
Congrats also to Patrick Elias on tying John MacLean as the franchise's all-time scoring leader with 701 points last night. With all the hubub over Marty, I don't want to forget and make light of that accomplishment (and he's a cute little bugger to boot! :P). Congrats, Patrick!
551 and 701 is one hell of a birthday present! :D
I still haven't stitched anything in a while, but I will hopefully get to stitch some today. We shall see! :P
Had a birthday yesterday, and didn't do a whole lot. Went out to dinner at Memphis Championship BBQ, then DH and I went to the Red Rock Hotel and Casino for a few drinks and some light gambling. We were on the guest list to go see Paul Oakenfold play at Rain last night, but bypassed it, because he had worked all day and I was getting tired.
Sucks to be getting old. :P
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
