Happy New Year And A Final Post For 2015

What a wild stitching ride it's been this year! It is utterly amazing to me just how much I accomplished in the span of one year. I went through my office/craft room for the final time on Monday and took one last inventory. I straightened a lot out and culled even more. Here it is, the final Bin O'Shame and Kit Mountain inventories for the year 2015:

Journey Began: Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Original Total: 89
Removed: 19 for various reasons, leaving 70 as the final total.

Total Stitched: 36 as of Wednesday, December 23, 2015
Total Left: 34

Total stitched from both Bin O’Shame and Non Bin O’Shame finishes: 61 as of Wednesday, December 23, 2015

Wow.

Just.....

WOW.

That is absolutely jaw-dropping. I cannot believe that I have managed to finish the stitching on ALL of that. It blows my mind.

I took one more inventory on the Bin O'Shame and decided to pull from the queue the following:

Removed the following HAED from Queue:
1.    Shimmering Night by Ching Chou Kuik for Heaven and Earth Designs
2.    All Hollow’s Eve by Jessica Galbreath for Heaven and Earth Designs
3.    Silvery Moon Storykeep by Jessica Galbreath for Heaven and Earth Designs
4.    Treasures by Selina Fenech for Heaven and Earth Designs

Removed the Following Non-HAED from Queue:

1.    Soccer by Janlynn (undecided on finishing this one)

This means that next year, I will have a total of 29 in the Bin O'Shame to finish stitching. Maleficent and Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow are too large to try and finish in one year, so those I am not counting them towards the final total. I have set a goal of 12 of these projects for next year. This will mean one per month, which is really not that bad. That is the total number that I set for myself for my 'unofficial' yearly rollover goal. Naturally, some will take longer than others, but that should sort itself out.

I also did some major culling of Kit Mountain. I kept it to the ones I knew I could conceivably stitch within the next couple of years and left it at that. Here are the numbers from that effort:

Total Left In 2015 Inventory: 113

Total Set Aside To Stitch In 2016: 41

Total Removed From Queue: 72

Once culled, those projects went back into Leaflet Silo. Honestly, this is a LOT more sensible of me. 113 kitted projects is just way too much. A vast majority of that number were either missing floss or fabric, so what was the point of that, I ask you? None, in my opinion. There is a mixture of small and larger projects in Kit Mountain so I should be able to tackle a few of those next year. I am really looking forward to the adventure that will be 2016.

Well, I had best be off. I hope everyone has the happiest of New Years!

Respectfully submitted,

C.
