When WIP Wednesday...

turns into Finish Wednesday. I managed to finish this up just a few minutes ago. Once I was past stitching the house, this piece picked up speed and it went quite quickly. I think I need one more Halloween piece for the year, then I am finished stitching with Halloween stitching for the year.

Well, at any rate, here is the latest finish:

Designer: Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks

Fabric Used: 28 count Cashel linen by Lakeside Linens in Vintage Lentil

Fibers Used: Crescent Colours  cotton flosses in Bramble Bush, Brown Sugar, Copper Penny, Cupid, Hickory Sticks, Toasted Marshmallow, and Weeping Willow

Beads Used: Mill Hill beads in #03049 Rich Red and #60479 Frosted White

Stitcher's Notes: Began Tuesday, September 29, 2015. Changed colors on two of the pumpkins.  Did not stitch saying in original design.

As of Monday, October 5, 2015:

Finished as of Wednesday, October 6, 2015:

Well, I had best be off. I need to clean up my stitching area and find something else to do. Happy Wednesday, everyone! :)

Post Weekend Update Monday, October 5, 2015

Honestly, I really did not think that I got this far in this piece. I had another Hercule Poirot  movie marathon yesterday. Netflix updated their website with Season 12's Three Act Tragedy, Hallowe'en Party, Murder on the Orient Express, and The Clocks. It was dark and dreary here in the desert yesterday, which made it perfect weather for a Hercule Poirot  movie marathon, tea, stitching, and spiced pound cake with an cinnamon apple cider glaze. Heaven!

This is what I managed to accomplish a bit on Saturday and all of Sunday afternoon:

Fibers Used: Crescent Colours  cotton flosses in Bramble Bush, Brown Sugar, Copper Penny, Cupid, Hickory Sticks, Toasted Marshmallow, and Weeping Willow

I best be off. The beef stew that I made for lunch today is ready. I have a side of thick crusted whole garlic loaf, with some really good butter to attend to on this pouring rain Monday. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Acorn Hill Pre Weekend Update

I've managed to get a wee bit done on my current WIP, Acorn Hill (Chart #46). I am seriously considering leaving the verse out and just stitching the date, but I haven't really decided as of yet. I have plenty of time, as this is not the most speedy of projects. I will have to post as many updates to this as possible so as not to get discouraged with it. While I do have times where 'typewriter' stitching is relaxing, this does not seem to be one of those times. Sucks to be me, I guess! :)

Well, at any rate, here is what I have before the weekend:

WIP Wednesday September 30, 2015

I love fall stitching. There is something about the comforting colors and bright jewel tones that makes me very happy. It would make me even happier if it wasn't 103 for the high today. It is 'supposed' to be in the low 90's by the weekend, but as we say back home, 'That's their tale. I am sitting on mine'. September has not been a good month for us, with losing our beloved Ozzy, so I am happy for October to make its' arrival.

This current WIP has been culled from what I am referring to as Kit Mountain. I have about around 116 projects kitted up and ready to go in Kit Mountain, of which I have stitched two so far this year. A LOT of these projects are in the small to medium range, with very few being HAED's. I will have to post pictures at some point. I am sure as with the Bin O'Shame, there will be projects that I am no longer interested in stitching. Which will mean either a sale or a giveaway.

Well, at any rate, here is my brand new start from Kit Mountain. I am really enjoying it so far.
