Another Finish For Now

I seem to have hit a stopping point on this one. And by 'stopping point' I actually mean 'ran out of floss'. I will have to wait until payday to get more, but such is life, eh? I am happy that I only have the fill in of the border at the bottom and then this will be finally finished. This will make #23 from the Bin O'Shame.  I *think* that I have #24 picked out, and I already know what #25 will be. That one will be a surprise, however. :) It is a very special project and one that I am actually looking forward to finishing the stitching on.

Well, at any rate, here is my almost Bin O'Shame finish:

Design: Summer Basket (2009 Loose Feathers #38)

Hope everyone has a great week!

More Summer Basket Progress

Ever have one of those projects that seemingly go on forever? This is one of those. For whatever reason, it seemed to drag a bit and I never thought I would get to move the Q-Snaps. I am assuming the reason is the bottom zig zag pattern, as I have to stitch that in three passes in order to keep the stitches looking neat. I am also almost out of a couple of the Crescent Colours cotton thread. I am hoping that it will wind up just being the Summer Spray and not any more than that.

Well, here is the Summer Basket progress so far:

I am planning on adding some elements from the left side onto the right so the piece is a bit more cohesive. I really do like the way it is turning out so far.

Well, I had best be off. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Summer Basket Progress

I took a small break from this latest design as I wanted to stitch something patriotic over the weekend. I picked this back up and have made a fair bit of progress on it. I am liking how this is turning out and I really like the juxtaposition of the bold and soft colors is turning out. Once finished this will make #23 from the Bin O'ShameI will need to find a quick one for #24 so that I can get to #25 and have that one finished by late August. I have #25 already picked out and ready to go. Hopefully, I will not have developed carpal tunnel in the mean time!

Another Blackbird

Greetings from brain damagingly hot Lost Vegas! Hope everyone is trying to stay cool. It's very difficult here in the desert. Temps during the day are hovering between 109 and 111. It's 'cooled down', if one can call it that, to a high of 106 today. Get out the parkas! Winter is coming! :P

I picked this one up as its' also got nice cool colors to work with. It is yet another offering from the Bin O'Shame. I am on track to make this one #23, provided I don't wander off and do something else. I have been very good about keeping on track this year, but with the goal so close, I may just get bored with it and flit off to something else. Let's hope not, though! :) I really would love to make that goal. After I make that goal, I may take a break from stitching for a bit to give myself a rest. No sense in getting carpal tunnel!

Well, at any rate, here is the newest offering:

Well, I had best be off. I need to go to the store for more cooking supplies. So far today, I have managed to make peach jam, protein bars, salsa and egg salad. All from scratch, naturally. Hope everyone has a great week!
