WIP Wednesday Post For December 9, 2015

I finally stopped waffling as to what the 60th project of the year was going to be. This is a project culled from Leaflet Silo, although it could have easily come from Kit Mountain. All it lacked was the fabric and a needle, but oh, well. As long as it is getting stitched, eh? :)

I have decided that I am not stitching the alphabet with this one as I did with the Autumn Sampler. I just don't feel like going that route. I am still waffling as to what I am going to stitch at the very top, as I have a few ideas, but I have had times where the picture in my head did not translate to what wound up on the fabric :)!  This one should make a nice journey to the end of the year and the end of this year's stitching goals, however. And that's really what it is all about, yes?

Well, enough of my blathering. On with the show! :)

Designer: Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks

Fabric Used: 32 count Belfast linen in Legacy  by Picture This Plus, from their Crystal line.

Fibers Used:  Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk in Cinnamon Stick, Creme de Menthe, icing and Shepherd's Pasture. Au Ver À Soie  Soie d'Alger in 942.

Beads Used: Mill Hill beads in #03049 Rich Red and  #00479 White

Stitcher's Notes: Substituted Au Ver À Soie  Soie d'Alger in 942 for the Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk in Cranberry. Will not stitch the alphabet.

As of Wednesday, December 9, 2015:

As it is the holiday season, I have been baking more than normal. I will leave you all now with a picture of the Chocolate Crinkle cookies that I made the other day. The really go well with my favorite tea Harney and Sons Holiday Tea. And really, who doesn't love a cuppa and a wee bit of a sweet to go with it? :)

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

Respectfully submitted,

C.

Nice start on your winter sampler. I stitched that one up a few years ago. I changed up the to too. I put our last name. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.
