No Rest For The Wicked

I picked this one back up from the Bin O'Shame after Faded Glory was finished on Saturday. That particular finish left me a little emotional, and this was actually Teh Hubmeister's suggestion. He suggested that I stitch something 'fun' and I came across this. To get into the mood, I even had a Star Wars: Episodes 4-6 marathon. What fun!


This *should* be finished within the next day or two. Then I will begin a fresh project, this time for Teh Hubmeister himself!

French Country Fruit WIP finish

Howdy, sports fans! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I managed to finally get another finish under my belt, in between working on WIPs and UFOs. I don't really have progress pictures, because not enough has been accomplished on anything. I've been in a mood where I stitch one thing for a bit, then put it down and get something else. I suppose in the long run this will help, but right now it feels like I'm not accomplishing anything.

At any rate, here is my latest finish. I started this right after I finished the French Country Cherries but abandoned it for whatever reason. I couldn't sleep last night, so I got this out and had all of it finished except the inside of the leaves before I went to bed. I would have finished it, but I was really tired, and rather than risk the dreaded Frog showing up, I retired and finished it this morning. Discretion and valor and all that sort of thing.

Darth Cookies

I'm happy to report that the next project that I chose to work on was one that was already in my bags. Yay! Go me! :P


The Hubmeister and I have recently taken up playing Star Wars: The Old Republic . It's a really fun game, and this piece seemed appropriate. It's coming along at a good clip. The Hubmeister said he was glad to see this one come out of the project bag as he thought there should be something 'homey' in the kitchen. Men are weird, what can I say! :)

French Country Cherries

Finally! A finish! Woohoo! I know it's not a HAED or anything, but I so wanted to get something stitched up and finished. I saw this in my LNS recently and just fell in love with it.

Fibers: Anchor floss in 359. Crescent Colours Cotton Floss in Cupid, Four Leaf Clover,Frozen Margarita, and Pink Champagne. SanMan Strands in Kaitlyn (retired floss line).

This was a really fun, fast stitch. I have run out of the 28 count Graziano Milan linen in white from Norden Crafts and I need to get more to stitch up the Grapes chart and her Rabbit Alphabet. Right now I have an Atelier Soed Idee and Heaven and Earth Designs charts I would like to do. Hopefully, this means my stitching mojo has come back home! :)

I purchased both frames at Hobby Lobby. They were both on sale at 50% off. I think both of the frames really set off the needlework. I hope the presents are well received!


Well, I best be off for now. I need to get to wrapping up these presents and I need to get some more stitching done. I've joined the 2012 WIPocalypse over at Measi's Musings. I am hoping to put a bigger dent into my stash next year. I would love to have to buy more tubs on account of my finishing so much and not because I bought more stuff. :P

Spring Cleaning

Hot off the Q-snaps is my latest UFO finish, Little House Needleworks' Season of Growth . This makes the third UFO (and probably final) finish for this month. I have another UFO that I've been working on off and on. It's slow going on account of it being DMC's B5200 on white Monaco. It's total Snoresville, however, I am making some progress and I hope to finish it soon.

Now that I took a bit of time to organize my stash, my organizing has taken a life of its own and has spilled out into the house on onto the computer. I've organized links and favorites on the computer, got rid of outdated links or places I no longer go to and have even cleaned out my junk mail address of unwanted newsletters and emails. It feels good to have extraneous junk taken care of and I am finding other places that still need a wee bit of organizing. (My desk being one, LOL! :P).


Well, I need to go. Tomorrow is my my Wednesday stitching at Stitcher's Paradise and I need to get another UFO in the bag and clean up the threads and put away the Season of Growth chart. Until next time, stay stitching my friends! :)

Another WIP finished!

Woohoo! I'm on a roll here! Got to go today to my Wednesday stitching at Stitcher's Paradise and managed to finish up Let's Go To The Beach. I am so excited! I even got to work on the next project in my bag, Little House Needleworks' Season of Growth . A Wonktastic Friday Update

I wish it was a Willy Wonka Wonktastic Friday, as that would at least involve chocolate and a better mood from my person, however, wonktastic refers to the 28 Ct Graziano White Milan Linen from Italy that I am working with. I am currently stitching on JBW Designs 'Cherries'. The original was done on a Melrose linen which has woven threads which fall between all of the squares. It was then made into a pillow.


Rather than try and procure the Melrose linen squares, I decided to stitch it on the 28 Ct Graziano White Milan Linen, which was actually earmarked for another project I decided not to do. I wanted a really summery feel to the piece, however, this linen is driving me straight up a tree. This piece is the wonkiest slubbiest piece of linen I have ever had the misfortune of stitching on. And in addition to that, it also obtain rub marks from the Q-Snaps less than three hours after I initially began the project. Oh, *YAY*. As a result, I took some scrap fabric that I had left over and buffered the snaps on the frame with them. I wouldn't mind so much, but the bloody piece of fabric cost me 10.50 back in the day, and it's really not that large of a piece. >:(


Oy, Oy, Oy! Oy, I say!

Well, I best be off. I have chores that need doing and this afternoon, I have 'The Duchess' and 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age' queued up for my viewing pleasure. I have some Orville Redenbacher's Kettle Korn that I will be noshing vigorously during my cinematic afternoon. :P
