Little Miss O Is Finished!!!

Put the last of the beads in about 10 minutes ago. I had a true conversion on one of the beads, I substituted the called for pearl for a buttercup yellow. The pearl just got washed out and I wasn't happy with the way it looked. I found these in my stash, so it was nice to not have to run out and get just one thing. :)

I am very, VERY pleased with the way this has turned out. It went so QUICKLY once I was dealing with the correct fairy, haha! Well, enough of my blathering. Here she is, Little Miss O, in all her glory:

Design: Letters from Nora Letter O

Designer: Nora Corbett

Fabric Used: 32 count Cashel linen in Crystal Fog

Fibers Used: Crescent Colours  cotton floss in Argyle Socks, Bejeweled, Cloud, Cobbled Peach, Desert Mesquite, Heatherleigh, Hickory Sticks, Hydrangea, La Tierra, Old Blue Jeans, Vintage Violet, Wisconsin Woods. Kreinik (#4) Braid in Blue Merengue #3514.

Bling Used: Mill Hill glass seed beads in #00252 Iris, size 11/0 2.5 MM and #62041 in Buttercup in Size 11.

As of Thursday, May 1, 2014 845 PM PST:

She's framed with just the Q-Snaps right now, but I need to begin the quest for the appropriate frame for her. I will be framing her myself, so I need to start that probably on Monday.

Well, I had best be off. I need to clean up my stitchy room and get the next fairy ready to go. I have more than a few of these lined up, so I better get to it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Truckin'

Truckin' got my chips cashed in. Keep truckin', like the do-dah man

Together, more or less in line, just keep truckin' on.

I seem to be on a lyric themed blog posting juggernaut here lately, but honestly, it's been fairly apropos. Last blog post centered around a song by the Cardigans, today's is by the Grateful Dead. My current piece is really coming together quickly. So quickly in fact, I have to slow down a bit because I am waiting on floss and beads to come in and I am a tad worried that I will get done before it arrives!  I've had one minor hiccup and that's it. Seems I am with the fairy I am supposed to be, yea? :)

Welp, at any rate, here she is so far:

Well, I had best be off. It's almost time to get ready for work. I've been taking my husband's motorcycle in and it's been a blast. :)

Erase and Rewind

Hey, what did you hear me say
you know the difference it makes
what did you hear me say
Yes, I said it's fine before
But I don't think so no more
I said it's fine before

I've changed my mind
I take it back
Erase and rewind
'cause I've been changing my mind

Sometimes, you just have to know when to walk away. In this case, it's been the letter Q, now O. Try as I might, I could not get it to work out correctly, so I've decided to just let it go and just stitch up the letter O fairy instead. I was ripping out more than I was stitching, so it just was not worth it to me. I must say, I've made the correct decision, as I have had only one hiccup thus far! Funny how that works out.

It's also been a blessing that 90% of the colors used in Letter Q, Now O are used in the Letter O. Yay! I've only had to purchase two colors I did not have in my stash. As an extra added bonus, I used a gorgeous Picture This Plus Cashel linen that I already had in my stash. This one is stitching up WAY quicker than Letter Q, Now O and I am really hoping I can get this finished in time.

Welp, here is the restart. I will eventually stitch up Letter Q, Now O for myself at some point. I have two other Nora Corbett Letters From Nora all picked out. One needs to be done before the other one, but you know how that goes! HAHA!

As always, stitchy notes first:
