A Slice Of Summer
Howdy all! Hope everyone is staying cool in this heat. Temps have been quite warm here, and are expected to rise during the end of the week. I am not ready to start stitching on fall/Halloween designs as of yet, so I am continuing with summer themed stitching.
This latest project is one that I have wanted to do for a very long time. It is discontinued as the frame is no longer being made, however, I do not let things like that stop me. I am sure I will find the appropriate finishing bits and bobs at some point and Bob's your uncle! Another actually finished finished! :D
At any rate, here is what is currently in the Q-Snaps:

Smaller Finishes
Taking a break from the Purple Blob. So help me, it is driving me plum batty!!! I have made mistakes in it which has resulted in the ripping out of over four hours worth of work. I am not sure if I am going to finish this one in time, but yanevaknow. May it be from my lips to the Heaven's ears. :)
I decided instead to re-stitch one Shepherd's Bush design and stitch up a whole other of their mini kits. These were purchased at Stitcher's Paradise bit ago. They were fairly cheap (less than 15 dollars each) and included all of the silk, fabric, buttons and a needle for stitching. They went *VERY* quickly and I look forward to stitching even more of these.
Here is the first one, redone on a different fabric with a miscellaneous golden bee charm attached. As I suspected, I thought it would look better on a crisp white linen, instead of the light flax I stitched the original one on. This one was stitched yesterday, Saturday, April 12, 2014:

A Very Merry Summer finish
Got another quick finish under my belt, just under the June 30 deadline. I got this last week during my usual Wednesday trip to Stitcher's Paradise. It was just as fun as the Very Merry Spring design that I stitched by the same designer, JBW Designs. I will have to look and see if she has designed ones for fall and winter, so that I can round out the seasons. :P
At any rate, enough of my blathering, onto the pictures! :D
Design: A Very Merry Summer
Designer: JBW Designs
Fabric: 28ct Carolina Linen in Salt
Fibers: Au Ver a Soie Soie d' Alger 7-strand silk floss in 945, 4911, and 4916.
Well, I best be off. Today is my Friday, and I hope to get some more UFO's finished within the next few days. Thanks for looking and I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! :)

LHN Summer House Finish
Finally got a finish under my belt for the month of June. I'd like to get another, but I am not sure if it will be possible. I think I've lost my stitching mojo. I just cannot seem to stay focused and stitch for any length of time. My heart just isn't in stitching anything right now, but at least I got my one finish a month promise fulfilled for the month of June.
At any rate, here is the finish and the related stitchy notes:
Design: Summer House
Designer: Little House Needleworks
Source: 2006 freebie (no longer available as a freebie, however, you can purchase it, along with many past freebies in the LHN leaflet 'Something Old, Something New'.
Fabric: 28 count Carolina linen from Charles Craft in Sand
Fibers: Crescent Colours Cupid, Wavy Navy, Joshua Tree, Antique Lace and DMC 3371.
Hope everyone is having a good week! :)
